Sea Loch

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . to take a little plane

We've had a pretty exceptional day today - bearing in mind all the restrictions and limitations imposed on everyone over the past year and a half - that we have all become quite accustomed to now.

For a start, we got in the car and drove to Glasgow Airport.  That's the furthest we've been away from home since the pandemic began.  To be in an airport again was odd, although it was a ghost of its former self.  We boarded a little plane (see extra) - along with seven others (!) and a pilot - and took off into the skies heading northwest from Glasgow.  In a little less than an hour we reached our destination.

And that was the Island of Tiree.  The most wonderful place that we've wanted to visit for ages - the sunniest place in the UK.  The other extra is the view from our room.  Will has been out painting it already - you can see it here . . . . . .
