Stuff and Nonsense

Garden Jay - juvenile

Woke up to the news that once again, we'd not won the premium bonds!
Never mind, we could win the lottery on Saturday.... :)

Did some housework and then a bit in the garden whilst hubby did the shopping again. He's good at it, and now Mum and Dad are doing their own, it doesn't take two of us.

In the afternoon we visited my parents and sat in the sunshine in the garden for a couple of hours. Quite unexpected and it was very warm, given that we are in for almost a week of wet weather - good for the garden though.
We loaded up M&D's lawnmower into the back of the car (they don't use it now as Gary's brother in law cuts their grass now as it got too much for them) and came home to do the back lawn. Our small front triangle lawn was cut by our next door neighbour yesterday whilst we were out - how lovely is that?
Hubby cut the back lawn and I did some more deadheading and watered the chillis and tomatoes in the greenhouse. We are now watching Andy Murray on centre court who looks like he is about to lose I'm afraid. Shame, as I suspect it will be his last match at Wimbledon.

Yesterday the Jays came by with their VERY noisy fledglings. There are at least 2 youngsters as I saw 4 birds yesterday, but didn't get a good enough look to see if it was both parents or not. Today one of the youngsters came by a couple of times on his own.
