He had forgotten an important stick selected earlier, so scuttled back for it. Lauriston Castle seems quite nice, if small-grounded. I had no idea it was council-owned and was expecting more posho-house sort of stuff, but it just has some grass, some trees, a path and a croquet pitch as featured on Loki's recent documentary. The cake shop was operating and there were a few people about (including some sort of 'influencer' type with a phone on a trripod taking photos of their costume against a wall) but the roads were mostly busy with people heading to the beach.
