There were some actual alive snails on the snail wall in the evening when I went for an extra booster walk before my pizza. I'd just managed to clear enough work out of the way to pop out and buy it earlier, but was then thwarted from doing much else apart from getting home again by the closure of the Innocent railway whilst people inspect rocks above.
