Comer Woods

It was surprisingly quiet in the woods this afternoon. Somehow we managed to miss all the terrible weather that was forecast although I can hear thunder rumbling this evening. 

I had a shock when I found a bird in the kitchen, a baby sparrow sitting on the cooker. I tried to herd it outside but it went upstairs. H and I shut all the doors before Murphy had chance to help, then encouraged it back downstairs where it sat in a shoe until it finally flew out the open front door into the trees, hopefully none the worse for its little adventure.
