Harris Hawk

This is Orla who was out with her owner in a nearby village. She is, apparently, much more attractively coloured than the male of the species. The Harris Hawk is not native to this country and is found mainly in S America, as far south as Argentina. Fully grown they range from 18-30 ins and have a wingspan of 3ft 6ins and the females are larger than the males.
