Pukkila Church

I found this peculiar painting in Pukkila Church, 70 km east of Helsinki.

The church was built in 1814; every house of the village had to arrange a carpenter and timberwood for the church.

Maybe this was painted by a carpenter?

I recognize the guy in the middle, but who are the rest? The one next to Christ on the left seems to be local pastor, for he wears a pastor's collar, but who are the others? They seem to be very happy. Even Christ himself seems to be happy even though he is hanging on the cross. And who is the brave-looking girl next to Christ on the right side?

And Jesus has a very stylish moustache, hasn't he?
