A contrast between beginning and end of the day

The top photo is of a pond in the Auckland Domain as I walked through to Auckland City Hospital.  It was a sunny morning and lovely to see the reflections of the trees in the water.  The bottom photo is of the stage at The Civic Theatre before the start of a show of Edith Piaf songs.  There was an excellent orchestra and a fabulous singer - a Russian girl called Yulia, who sang in perfect French.  Not being French speakers we couldn’t understand the words, but the music/tunes were so familiar, and Yulia introduced most of the songs with an explanation of what the song was about.  Yulia put her heart and soul into her performance and the audience just loved it.  Such a fabulous show.
