Double pollen collection...

... in progress this morning at Harlow Carr Gardens.

On our wander around this morning, we also spotted a Meadow Brown Butterfly (first extra).

At the other end of the size range was a huge sculpture (second extra). This is a 4.5m high fibre glass bust by American Artist and Film-maker Philip Haas, based on a late 16th century painting by Guiseppe Arcimboldo. There will eventually be 4 of these in the gardens representing the four seasons. Watch this space.
