13°C  -  8mph E Wind Speed  -  12 mph Gusts  -  Overcast.  Bit cooler today but I did sit out on the patio reading the Scottish Wildlife magazine this morning.  Full of good stuff as usual, and the bit that interested me most was the report of a new meadow in Cumbernauld Community Park being sown with oats and bird seed to provide food for birds such as skylarks, linnets and yellowhammers  - all birds that have reduced in numbers over the past few years.  The writer rather amusingly suggests that covering a hectare of the park the meadow could ‘potentially be Cambernauld’s biggest birdfeeder’!  Certainly ambitiousâ˜ș
