Rolvenden Station

A very enjoyable turn at Wittersham Road once I got there. The main road to Tenterden was closed with no diversions signposted. It was the same on the way hone too.

The Sunday Lunch Pullman ran today, well populated probably by people who should have been on the train last year. It meant I had a delivery of soup and roll and roast potatoes as the train passed the box.

After work the duty signalman from Rolvenden and I went for a swift pint at the Old Dairy Tap room adjacent to Tenterden Town Station. It’s a craft brewery serving some very fine ales.

Good result for England last night. Well done to those able to watch it!

Today’s blip is of the Pullman locomotive leaving Rolvenden to travel light engine to collect the Pullman stock. Looked good with the reflections and the two engine men waiting on the platform.
