Tropical Butterflies

A spot of tropical butterfly hunting today! We had to go to Southend Sea Life Centre today for the first time in months, to sort our membership out so that meant a good excuse to walk round and visit the fishes, monkeys, meerkats, penguins, dinosaurs and butterflies!

I think lockdown hit them hard financially, but the whole centre has been smartened up and exhibits improved so we were really impressed and are looking forward to going back soon!

The hare trail has started in Southend too, so it was nice to see a few along the seafront - such a shame though that despite big signs on the hares saying 'do not climb on us', that some 'parents' of little cherubs were ignoring that advice and letting them clamber all over them! What hope have the kids got lol
