Flower ladies?

Today I went to the Hampton Court Garden Festival Preview. They had changed the start time from 5pm to 3pm. 

This year it was very different from the usual preview evening
- no corporate events that I could see
- less show gardens
- less big marquees…the one with all the craft/ clothes stalls was replaced with little outdoor stalls.
- many many more people than usual which was unexpected………. So it was actually quite busy and it is the first event I have been to where people did not seem bothered about social distancing and even in the tent some people do not wear masks. 

I was told by one smallholder that lots of people who had tickets for tomorrow…the first day….had been contacted and told they could go this evening?! Cheeky as the tickets for this evening were much more expensive…so perhaps they had not sold enough?

I found it all very disappointing so did not stay long and was quite pleased to get home especially as it had started raining!

Usually there are fireworks at the end of the evening but a couple of weeks ago( after I had bought tickets) they said that would not happen and instead there would be. More live music and performers. These flower ladies are some of them, there were also people on stilts!
