A Different Day

I have been after trying some different light painting ideas for long exposure portraits for a little while, and I managed to make arrangements with a local model to have a few hours in the studio to try some ideas out.

This is about a 15 second exposure with the flash firing on Lottie at the beginning, then I waved a torch that flashes with a gel on the light and a perspex blade that creates the shape in the background. Lottie was also lit by a couple of gels to add a bit of colour. This bit hasn't worked out as well as I had hoped, but hopefully there will be another opportunity to try again and expand the ideas a bit more, and perhaps get it a bit better.
