Mono Monday: Week 389 ....

... Flower Power.

I've been reading a lot about the renewal of the Bethlehem Rose Garden so before it got too hot we set our course for the garden.  On the way there we were passing Burnside Plantation so decided to stop.  They have some rather lovely colonial era gardens there that we could tour.  The above picture of some beautiful daisiy flowers was taken there.

The Bethlehem Rose garden was lovely and we had a nice time seeing all the gorgeous flowers and talking with some of the volunteers that were working in one of the many flower beds.  One of the volunteers mentioned that they were going to be putting in some dill.  When I mentioned that the swallowtail butterflies use dill for their host plant she was surprised and was excited about attracting butterflies. Talk about Flower Power!

Thanks to Doyley22 for hosting this week and to Laurie54 for setting up the July MM themes and hosting the rest of the month.

If you are interested I've backblipped for yesterday.
