Shelly at Skylark’s

It was a full day today. It began with one of the most moving and best memorial services I’ve ever been to honoring our friend Michael. We learned so much about him and in how many ways he has touched the lives of his family and friends. Several family members spoke and what they said went deep and real. It made me realize how often we stay on the surface and how often we fill our minds with things that are trivial. That was not how Michael lived and that came through loud and clear in each person’s remembrance of him.

In the afternoon, for the first time since January 2020, Marleny and her husband came to clean my house. I’ve been doing it myself since Covid and the results were less than stellar. It was great to see them and delicious to have a sparkling house when they left. They will be back every three weeks now and that makes me happy.

By the time they left it was getting late. Shelly and went to Trove to pick up some marijuana to help Shelly sleep. He’s going to try it out tonight.

At the end of the day I didn’t feel like cooking so we went to Skylark’s for dinner. We were lucky to get in. Within an hour they closed early because that were running out of food. There were so many people there on the 4th that they kept running out of things. Our dinner was good and our TV evening relaxing. Now it’s time for sleep. Goodnight all.
