Happy birthday Max! Family reunions.

Happy birthday Max, a lovely morning opening presents and then it was off to Sussex to visit Granny Gill aka Great Granny Gill! We picked a lot of a sticky plant which I can’t write the name off and tricked Max into having quite a lot of it on his back which was very funny LOL.

We stopped at M&S on the way and bought lots of goodies and had a feast of a lunch.

Fae gave Granny Gill a bunch of sweet William, she let him dig up some potatoes and carrots and a scrubbed them together and later when we got home he them and said they were the best potatoes ever.

It was quite an emotional day really, Gill hasn’t seen Ruby for years and has never met her son, she has never seen her own son Max as a grandfather before or Gulliver as an uncle.

It was lovely to have Erin with us as well. We sat down again later in the afternoon to a lovely chocolate cake and marzipan fruits, vegan sticky toffee pudding and vegan raspberry ripple ice cream.

We got back about seven and once Fae was in bed we ordered sushi for everybody including hot sake which was lovely.

Then we decided to watch Napoleon Dynamite, an old family favourite but I had to go to bed before the end of it.
