Tarbert

We made it to Tarbert by taxi and ferry though it was touch and go whether we would get on the ferry as COVID restrictions were limiting foot passengers to 14 and a large family grouping arrived just in front of us. We were concerned about the return trip, as we planned to get the last ferry back at 6pm, and didn't want to be stranded. However the crewman we spoke to said not to worry, they wouldn't leave us behind. In the end, we were the only foot passengers on the return trip, along with 5 cars (see extra for the ferry).

The rain mostly stayed off, and we had a good hike up the hill behind the town. The clouds were very low though, and obscured much of the view.

We stopped off at the marina at Portavadie for dinner (more excellent seafood, though the ambiance was more like a cafeteria than fine dining), then got the taxi back to the house.
