Monument Valley

Monument Valley is  1,100 square miles in the four corners region on the Utah-Arizona state line. (see Extra) Through the valley you can see buttes rising  1,000 of feet from the ground.  The rocks found in the valley are mainly sedimentary, ranging from the Permian to the mid-Jurassic.   These monuments  are the products of millions of years of erosion.
