Maslenitsa

We were celebrating 'Maslenitsa' (Butter or Pancake Week - the festival week before Lent) today. We met with friends at a frozen lake, where we ware sledging, later we went to a friend's house and had pancakes and tea and got warm again. In the evening we burned the 'Maslenitsa'doll - as a sigh of the end of winter, and jumped over the fire, danced around it. It was a really nice day!
