Wide Wednesday

Pano of serpentine pavilion!

Had a stellar day today walking from the flat across Kensington park to see the new Diana statue, extra later of backview of statue. From there we continued across Hyde park to the serpentine gallery and the pavilion which is put up every year in spring and then removed! First exhibition at sackler north was photograhs of Accra and in Britain by James Barnor, mostly back and white and the quality was amazing. Then a coffee and for me a chocolate ice cream in a cone. Then an amazing exhibition of paintings by Jennifer Sacker again in extras in the morning! Cannot describe the paintings but they were extraordinary.

From there we walked to Bayswater road and caught the bus to Piccadilly and went to the royal academy exhibition of Emin and Munch which was also very good.

Having done those three exhibitions we then walked to Covent Garden for me to return some shoes that I had got online and were not for me! They will phone tomorrow to hopefully let me know in can have a refund!

We then went to eat at the Ivy brasserie which is the cheaper version of the high end Ivy Restaurant. Food was delicious and the wine was paid for by James husband who had given her some money for a decent bottle which we drank between us. The waiter was very charming too!

Got the tube back to Notting Hill Gate and walked back to flat. Almost 20,000 steps in all so happily tired and watched the end of the game as England beat Denmark Time for bed and post extras tomorrow!
