When I was younger, I used to imagine that if we didn’t get to the other side of the road fast enough before the lights changed, we’d be trapped on the road and fire would blast upwards from the bellows. I’d run in slow motion and jump to the curb just at the last minute and pretended to be in an action movie with the big explosion behind. It was truly exciting when I was a kid. Didn’t work out so well yesterday though…
