Daily Practice

Training with running friends on the local playing field first thing, then a macro practice in the garden. Decided that today's scales & arpeggios (see quote from darsa) would be to hunt some easy subjects on the hogweed in the wild part of the garden.

Tasks after lunch involved taking the dog to the vet for his annual check-up & jab, then waiting at home for DPD to collect my erratic tablet, which has developed a fault with the LCD/touchscreen, for a check-up under warranty. Now I've some time to process this morning's haul before a committee meeting this evening...

Managed to get two or three OKish ones, hand-holding, just in natural light with a fairly high shutter speed. A soldier beetle's the main photo & there are 2 views of a hoverfly in the extras (plus other unidentifiable beasties). All heavily cropped, of course!

The next step will be to add the flash - that's the proper way to do it - but I'll need a better diffuser for it first.
