The Church of the Nativity Flagstaff, Arizona

This Catholic Church was started around 1888 but had more than one structure. This was completed in 1930 and is made of native volcanic rock. I loved that it has gargoyles! See the extra. I would have loved to have gone inside but it was locked.

The temperature is several degrees cooler than Phoenix since the elevation is almost 7,000 feet. Flagstaff is nestled in the San Franciso Peaks (elevation 12,637 feet) and is about an hour and a half from the Grand Canyon and 2 hours north of Phoenix.
