If I've correctly identified this fungus, it's called Witch's Butter, which is quite curious considering that we've recently been adopted by a black kitten. All kinds of magic happening here!

For the gourmands out there, Witch's Butter is apparently edible, but only when boiled or steamed. Gonna grab my cauldron and get cooking!
