Coneflower On The Road

We stopped at a Starbucks to stretch our legs and get a little pick-me-up and they had the prettiest flower garden outside their side entrance.  We had ALOT of rain when we left home and then it cleared up for more than half of our long ride today. It was lovely to see the sun again.  By the time we got to our hotel (8 hours later), the skies were looking threatening.  A quick SNAP (somewhat healthy, thin crust) pizza and while we were eating, the skies opened up.  The local streets were flooding as the storm drains just couldn't keep up.  Cleared once again, hopefully tomorrow will be a less dramatic drive and it will be closer to 6.5 hours.  We're lining up houses to see and hoping we can accomplish the task.

We have our neighbor's oldest boy, Quinn (15), dog-sitting during the weekdays while we're gone and Logan, Josie and Na'iema arrived tonight to spend the weekend with Myles.  He was looking so sheepishly at me before we left today, heart pulling.
