The Cabrach

I was back on my bike today with a pal. We started in Alford and cycled over the Suie hill to Rhynie where we refuelled with coffee and cake. From Rhynie we cycled up another hill to the top of the Cabrach. The top is desolate moorland and in days gone this area was a favourite spot for illicit whisky distilling. Indeed if we’d carried on we’d have been in real whisky country - Glenlivet and Dufftown. By this point it was raining and ee made a fairly wet return route by Lumsden and Mossat back to Alford.
