SOE

At last, a day worth blipping.
Let me set the scene for you. A small village near here, Tempsford, had an airfield during the Second World War which was used as a base for the SOE - special operations executive. As we know, many lost their lives during the war, far too many, and in peace time, this barn where the equipment for their dangerous resistance missions was issued to those brave men and women, has now become a place of commemoration. It’s called Gibraltar Farm.
Nothing so grand as many of our nations tributes, but none the less incredibly moving.
Thank you so much to Nicoiseannie for coming with me today. Both of us will return in the future I’m sure.
Please see extras if you have the chance.
