Branta leucopsis

Meet Barnacle Goose, the biggest plight in our neighborhoods. In just ten years the breeding animals have gone up from 10 to a few thousand birds and while doing it, they've populated all the parks and every grassy spot around Helsinki.

The park outside our home used to be playground where people would gather to play football or other outdoor sports. Not anymore as the grass is either covered by geese or their huge droppings. So sad.
