Pentland Hills Walking from Bonaly

We had a great day for our walk with the Saturday Strollers.  There were lots of runners and cyclists enjoying the hills today too.  Setting off from the car park at Bonaly we made our way along Torduff and Clubbiedean reservoirs passing the alpaca farm (so cute) en route.  We saw deer, a kestrel and the beautiful pink 'common spotted orchid' as we headed up hill to Maiden's Cleugh.  We had our lunch stop here with this great view of Glencorse reservoir in front of us.  After lunch we climbed Harbour Hill from where we had fabulous views of the bridges on the Firth of Forth all the way along to Edinburgh Castle and Arthur's Seat.  We then made our way back down to Bonaly.

A relaxing afternoon watching the Wimbledon women's singles final,  Ashleigh Barty v. Karolina Pliskova (6-3, 7-6, 6-3).
