..its all happening..

This particular time in summer is always very busy sports wise but added into the mix is Euro 2020 (carried over from last year). The country has worked itself up into a frenzy as England is in the finals for the first time since 1996 and have not won since 1966. Cars have flags flying and houses are decorated with flags out the window. There will be parties or dirges in the street later on tonight. There will be sore heads tomorrow morning.
At the same time the finals of tennis at Wimbledon are taking place but my favourite is the Tour de France. The height of summer for me (sports wise) is the 'Tour', l love it. l like the jaunty music that introduces it, the scenery as the riders fly through the beautiful French countryside, the riders in their colourful team uniforms and l like that it is not particularly country based - the teams have riders from many different countries. On a very hot summers afternoon l can be found windows open, blinds down cool drink nearby watching the tour. At 8 o'clock tonight l will be found watching Euro 2020.
