I love the tiny glimpse of sky in this nasturtium raindrop.

I'm doing a lot of garden blips at the moment as I'm staying at home in preparation for next week when I'm meeting a vulnerable friend I haven't seen since November 2019. There is plenty to keep me busy here: the indoor shed is tidied, the chest is waxed (the wooden one, not my own), the roses are dead-headed, a hefty old wooden mantelpiece is part-sanded, some lettuces are picked and consumed.

Separately my son and his partner have asked me if they can come and stay on different days next week (after I'm seeing my friend, fortunately). Neither knew of the other's plans. I've suggested they might like to overlap.
