‘Newborn Ducklings on the Pond’

Five ducklings have appeared on the pond today; they must have just ventured out from the reedbed on the other end. 

They’re still very small and vulnerable looking, though I’m not quite sure today’s blip quite does this justice! 

Meanwhile the new baby coots are now down from four to two since blip of 9 July, the coots at the other end are still to hatch, and there’s also a moorhen sitting on a nest amongst the reeds. 

So more to look forward to!
