hello sunflower

We went to the cemetery today to water the flowers that we’ve planted for Stewart. I had to buy them from a garden centre this year as it was so cold earlier on that the ones I’d grown from seed were too small. I usually grow french marigolds and tagetes because they’re bright colours and have a long flowering season. The garden centre didn’t have any so I bought snapdragons instead. They’re just starting to flower. Looking around we noticed that there were lots of these knitted sunflowers in many different colours that had been left on graves that don’t get visited. What a kind thing to do - each one must have taken quite a while to knit.
