Hanging out the Washing

A great day for laundry, hot and with a nice drying wind.   Two loads of bedding and towels washed and dried in record time.   One of the few  plants that I inherited which I want to keep is this super clematis which attaches itself to the far end of the washing line each summer.

After half a hour at work after breakfast, the highlight of the day was taking Meg on a long walk with C and the other Meg.   Bella came along for the ride in her papoose, lots of socialisation and exposure to people and other dogs is important for a puppy.   Soon she'll be safe to go out for 'proper' walks which will be fun too, although nothing as long as this morning.   The two Meg's enjoyed plenty of time to run, a fair bit of it in the muddy estuary which meant a bath when we got home - she did smell of the sea and the mud!

Some tidying and a little sorting this afternoon before a longer than usual shift at work, moving and cleaning around all the outside dining tables.   Warm work but in the shade at least.   An early night beckons, we're all tired and Meg and Bella, playing raucously, are still wearing each other out as I type.
