Ejoying the sea view

Funchal seafront/promenade, just over a mile of major building work. This is one of the better bits, some is much worse, estimated completion is late 2014.
I appreciate that some is necessary flood prevention but some is " improvements", and was it really a good idea to start it all at the same time.
In spite of all the above, we enjoyed our holiday. Nice hotel, good food & wine, and many great walks once you turned your back on Funchal. Fortunately, having had several several walking holidays here, we were able to do just that. And the weather was WARM. The UK is going to feel cold tomorrow!
