Ice...

…………....…….White

A pansy bloom, picked from the garden, balanced against the semi submerged rock and sitting on thick ice in the birdbath after a cold frosty night.

Thank you for your response to yesterday’s blip. The stars, hearts and lovely comments are very much appreciated.
I have since added the Monarch Butterfly tag under the photo, and if you go to pages 3 & 4 previous photos of the ‘swan’ can be viewed.

The stitches were removed today, although there is still a 5mm gap in the centre of the largest wound which has tape/plaster stitches which have to be replaced every 3 days until it is completely healed. While I can walk further afield now I am still limited and need to take care for the next two weeks. The small biopsy by my shin is a basal cell carcinoma and the larger one by my achilles is early stage melanoma. It is a relief that it has been caught at an early stage, but it still necessitates a referral to the hospital as a wider band of tissue must be removed and tested to make sure all melanoma is removed.
