Blip Wannabe

It's grey & windy, not a good day for close-up photography in the garden. I was wondering if a vertical (i.e. looking down on) view of a small sea holly would make an interesting pattern when this little froglet jumped into view. I did manage to capture it amongst the plants in the front border - the froglet was about 2 centimetres from nose to tail & the image has been heavily cropped as I couldn't get much closer without disturbing it!

I'm always amazed when I find tiny ones in the garden as we don't have a pond (the nearest one is on the far side of a neighbour's house, at least 100 metres away) & they don't breed in the ditch at the front as that dries out.
