Summertime treat

I had lunch in Brechin Castle garden centre on my way south to see mum and catch up with my Stirlingshire family. I don't normally succumb to the sweets there but this one brought back so many memories and gave me a story to tell mum tomorrow. Many years ago there was an amazing place outside
Menstrie called Puddleducks which had an excellent tearoom and fabulous garden where she and I would sit outside on a summer afternoon and partake of meringues, filled with cream and summer fruits, just like the one in the picture. Such a happy memory! And, yes it was yummy!
