La vida de Annie

Américo Vespucio.

This tall ship is docked in Mahon as an Italian naval cadet training ship. Yesterday in our walk through the town we saw lots of very smart, tall young men in beautiful immaculate uniforms - how do they keep their trousers and hats so white? I read in the local news that in the evening it was lit with multicoloured lights, and the horn was repeatedly sounded when the announcement was made of Italy's Euro cup victory, followed by the crew singing their national anthem (it's a cracker). The only celebrations to be heard locally were from a drunken party of Brits at a big villa up the road, which ended abruptly with the final result. Today driving past I noticed a huge England flag still in place on their balcony accompanied by an inflatable unicorn - says it all really.
