Something’s up or rather down

Something is trying to make a home in one of the wooden pillars of the veranda. It keeps coming up to dump the wood dust. I think it may be a huge bee. I’m going to have to remove it somehow!

We already have an active bees nest in the veranda roof this year, goodness knows what damage it may be doing!
