An adventurous soul

It's a suspicion I've had for a whiles, a tickling touch of an elusive truth, age is but an excuse for the choices we make.

Out again with the, and I use this word in the fullest sense, inspirational G, eighty years young. We took all the adventurous options as we made our way up into the lesser travelled parts of the Coniston area.
A long long day with a lot of laughs and some moments of gratitude.

We scrambled up The Bell, stood atop the Pudding Stone and then picked an exciting grade 2 line up Little How Crags, before an equally 'interesting' descent* down a dry gully back to Levers Water and then over Erin Crag and back to Coniston via some spectacular mine works, many of which, wonderfully, now have excellent information boards.

*where we found the day's extra. I think it's a stonecrop, but I'm dedicating to the expert blipper that is TonyG as he'll know for sure...
