Hot !

It is glorious here today - bright blue skies and high temperatures.  In fact it was so hot that when a friend visited this afternoon we had to retreat inside. 

A combination of Brexit  (&  to a lesser extent)  Covid  is making itself felt in the town  - at least two coffee shops are closed due to staff shortages, one take away can no longer accept telephone orders for the same reason, the shelves in the local Co-op are pretty bare, especially for non-fresh produce, and the local caravan park has taken to advising visitors to stock up before arriving into the town.  The same is happening elsewhere - just at the time when tourism is opening up and visitors returning.
