Harvest

Some time ago I described planting my potatoes into horse poo and covering them with second hand straw taken from the hen tent. I recalled an old country guy, long dead now unfortunately, telling me about using straw for growing potatoes but could not recall if he said it was good or bad.
Well this is the crop from the first two plants I have dug up, enough for at least three meals for the two of us. I think I now know he thought it was a good idea. And they tasted really good too
