A good day's volunteering

Another great day volunteering with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. Today's team were tasked with clearing the jungle of docks, nettles and grasses from a bank with young trees and Barberries that had been planted to create habitat for rare Barberry Carpet Moths.

Felt like hacking through a jungle at times, but hugely rewarding as there's now lots more light and space for the trees to grow. First picture taken just before our coffee break to show just how tall and dense the vegetation was!
