Nature Walk

This morning we met our daughter and the three grandchildren for a walk at a place that was halfway between our two homes. It was already hot but most of this walk was through forest which is still quite green thanks to the large amount of rain we have been getting. We had fun looking for wildlife and saw a muskrat, turtles, lots of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. We had brought along peanuts and the kids had fun feeding the wildlife. Might be the last time they do that there as they are trying to discourage it there. After about 1 1/2 hours we had had enough of the heat and said our goodbyes.  Spent the rest of the day day indoors reading, chatting with my parents and doing small household chores.
