Large White Butterfly #8

After saying that there weren't many butterflies around this year, I did my first Big Butterfly Count of the year in my garden this morning. In 15 minutes I saw 3 Small Whites, 2 Red Admirals and a Small Tortoiseshell, which is more than I've seen all summer! 
Since I was sitting under the patio umbrella trying not to move I did not get any shots and to be honest, all apart from one just fluttered on by anyway. Later in the day I was in the front garden and just managed to catch this Large White feasting on the lavender. It's been nice to see a few fluttering in the garden, but it's been too hot to work out there today. I think I'll do a bit first thing tomorrow instead.
