Look at the View behind You.....

I think the cows have seen it all before! At last we made our delayed trip to Keswick. Postponed twice. In fact we were last here in The Lake District a week or two before the pandemic took hold in the UK in March 2020.

It was so good to be back, except we would usually choose mid summer. We prefer a winter time slot. 

We reached Keswick by lunch, and were out walking very soon after. We walked along the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail, taking a turning off to view Castlerigg Stone Circle, and then back over field and dale to Keswick. A nice leg stretcher to start the trip.

After our meal out, we had a wander down by Derwentwater. The light was beautiful. (see extra)
