Tiny Orchids

Creeping Lady's Tresses delicate wee orchids which are particularly abundant in Abernethy Forest this year. They are named for the way the individual flowers spiral, like plaited hair, round the stem. They suddenly appear above the blaeberries and moss under the birch and pines.
