Truly Blippin' Marvelous

By JohnEdward

Black crowned

night heron.  Enjoying the early morning sunshine. And now, several hours later, thunder is rumbling not too far away. Other wildlife out-and-about? Elk, deer, beaver, and plenty of birds(finches, black birds, robins, phoebes, kingbirds). Our local librarian and her husband, keen birders and photographers (they have much more patience than I), were out on the river walk too.

Managed to watch some of the neutral roll out of Le Tour de France before Mass and then was back home just in time to see the leaders come on to the Champs-Élysées for the last time with Mark Cavendish in sixth place coming up to the line and getting boxed in (he didn't follow his lead out man) coming in third at the line.
